well, i'm done licking my wounds from the contest. time to think about marshalltown, and remember all the cool things that happened at the expo. at the top of my list was seeing grumpy old farts get a first place call. the green egg scramble was intense(and they gave us a nice cutting board and mini desk egg). plowboy had his game on all weekend, as did steph and kyle. a new team out of ames wins the overall. i believe he was posting under musicmanryan last week. nice job ryan. stephs buffet was amazing, people brought all kinds of great food. clone/shads breakfast was fantastic. the guy that knows how to cook whole hog knew how to hit the spot with biscuits and gravy. we sold over 4k in forum bbq stuff, so the word is out on the products. i had some great salsa from jack. i visited with myron and johnny trigg, quau, and pellet envy (some things still don't make sense to me, but i guess thats competition bbq). fred got some good calls. shad did great. paola greg was fun to be around, and did good. i saw monty get a call, and he gave us a bottle of jack. i wouldn't trade last weekend for anything, even though we sucked :). i have really grown to like kyle. anyone who will walk around the iowa state fairground on a friday afternoon dressed like a pimp has my vote,
